2017’s Borderlines will be held at University College Cork. The organising committee is made up of PhD students from the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences (CACSSS).
The Organising Committee:

Laura Creedon: Laura is a first year PhD researcher in the School of English, UCC. Her research focuses on the translation of masculine constructs from Old English literature by modern and contemporary poets.

Niamh Kehoe: Niamh is an IRC funded third year PhD researcher within the School of English, UCC. Her works examines Old, Middle English, and Latin saints’ lives, focusing particularly on humour, violence, and gender

Alison Killilea: Alison is a final year PhD student in the School of English, UCC. Her research focuses on the reception history of Beowulf in translations and adaptations, with a particular focus on Grendel and Grendel’s mother.

Patricia O’Connor: Patricia is a Digital Humanities PhD researcher in the School of English, University College Cork. Her research focuses on the digital remediation of the marginalia in the Cambridge, Corpus Christi College 41 manuscript witness of the “Old English Bede”
Lydia Poland-Cronin: Lydia is a first year PhD researcher within the School of History, UCC. Her work focuses on Ireland’s participation in the Atlantic Slave Economy between 1500 – 1750.
